A New Trend; Shutter Shelves...

Posted by Holli McRae on 9/15/12 1:38 PM

Shutters have become very popular with interior designers. I personally have always found shutters to have a country or beach type of feel to them. They can really liven up a room and also be a conversation piece. All of these projects you can see below are very simple to do with shutters and also brackets. You can find old ones or buy new right from our website! We have a few different shutter styles to choose from.

This reminds me of the "beachy" look. A great color was used for this small nick-nack shelf!

This definitely has a country feel to it!

This to me almost has the shabby chic look to it. I love this look because it is a mixture of items that have both a victorian aged look yet also colorful!

This is a great idea for women in a hurry! I would personally put this in my foyer and would be able to come in and out and quickly and easily check my makeup. This would actually be great for a man also.

This is basically the same concept as the one above however this actually has a place to hang your jacket/ umbrella/ keys/ and purses!

How amazing is this shelf? This would go great in a little girls room or anywhere to add a little pop of color.

Great simple clean shutter book shelf

Any of these ideas are very easy to do! Just simply a few nails and the shutters is all you need. Maybe a little paint also. But this look can go a long way in your home since it is something you will actually use and not just look at!
